Community Conversations: Women in Farming

Please join PHAHS for Community Conversations: Tea and History. This year we will be presenting Women in Farming as a recognition of the The United Nations declared 2026 International Year of the Woman Farmer.

This presentation will explore the vital connection between agriculture and the local social fabric, highlighting how dedication to the land is reflected in community growth. Through the stories of the participating women, we will discuss rural identity, landscape stewardship, and handed down traditions, also exploring how life in the fields inspires artistic expression and the preservation of our historical heritage. As is traditional for Tea and History events , the conversation will take place in a welcoming and informal atmosphere, enriched by the sharing of a cup of tea or coffee and treats

This day represents a unique opportunity to honour the economic, cultural, and social contributions of women to our rural history and present, transforming a global recognition into a moment of authentic local celebration.

The Marionette is a comic thriller in classic Fallis style. The event takes place at Creemore Springs Brewery on Thursday, June 18th. Doors open at 6:30pm, event starts at 7pm. Terry will read from and talk about his new book, followed by a moderated Q&A with Curiosity House owners Joel and Kate, and a book signing. Every ticket includes a complimentary drink from the bar.
